Our pharmacist can supply medication for urinary infections where appropriate, for women.
In some cases, self-care advice may be all that is required.
Symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection can include:
– Burning when passing urine
– Needing to pass urine in the night
– Cloudy urine
– Urgent need to urinate
– The need to urinate more frequently than normal
– Blood visible in urine
– Pain or tenderness in lower abdomen

Check if it’s an insect bite or sting
The main symptoms of an insect bite or sting are:
– pain where you were bitten or stung
– a small, swollen lump on the skin
These symptoms, however, do not always mean the site is infected. Please come and speak to
our pharmacist to discuss the best advice and treatment.
Treatment for bites and stings can include:
– Using an ice pack on the area
– Antihistamines
– Steroid creams
– Painkillers
NHS Prescriptions
We pride ourselves on having your medicines ready for you on time. We can order for you and let you know when your medication is ready to collect with our text messaging service.
We also offer a free delivery service. Delivery is usually the same day, or next.
Here at Gorleston Pharmacy, we recommend using the free NHS app, where you can sign up and order your medications every month. We will be able to see when you have ordered, what you have ordered, and let you know by text when your order is complete.
In addition, we benefit from have 12 different suppliers which means we have a large range of options when it comes to getting hold of the medicines you require.
We also offer Dossett boxes as a private service, should you feel this would help you manage your medication. There is a charge or £20 for every 4 trays delivered (one month).
